Keeping your feet warm by Stephanie Beute
With the cost of the living crisis we are experiencing at the moment, we in podiatry and at the Beute Clinic have noticed a rise in chilblains. Here are some helpful tips to keep those pesky sores away!
1. Good quality thick sock
( such as hiking socks or woolen socks)
2. Good pair of winter boots, which will support you in icy and rainy situations. (not wellies)
3. Adding warming liners to shoes if there is room to do so.
4. Warm grip-proof slippers for the house.
5. staying active
6. creaming feet regularly.
There are creams available that help to warm the feet. If you are interested we do sell some in our Marlborough clinic.
We hope these small tips help with keeping your feet warm and keep the chilblains away.
